Recommend minimum of 1.5 inches of fiberglass or aluminum over wood construction.
Minimum of 16 inches of clearance needed from outboard mount.
Not recommended for speeds over 35mph

May be used for Inboards however a proper reinforced mounting location may not be available.

Things to consider with the Standard Mount are are the age, construction and condition of the transom and hull.
If you have a 1985 or newer 40 hp and up, also consider Rooster Easy Mount.
If you mount the Rooster Boost Standard Hard Mount to unsuitable location damage may occur.
